I have a credit on my account, what happens next?

We always recommend that you retain at least two months worth of payments on your account, to help you manage your account balance over the year.

During the summer we would expect to see a credit balance building up, this is because we would normally expect to see a reduction in your energy usage.

Over the winter is when most homes use the highest consumption, typically when we put our heating on, some customers may use electric blankets, or even take longer hot showers.

Asking for a refund of the credit balance will likely mean that as we enter into the winter months (or during the winter) we will need to increase your monthly payments to account for the increase in your winter usage.

Energy prices are also increasing, you can read more about why energy prices have increase here.
