I have a 1st Generation Smart Meter (SMETS1); will I need an upgrade?

No, Colorado Energy is working with the DCC (Data Communications Company) to get connectivity to your SMETS1 meter. SMETS1 meters will be migrated through the DCC system which means we can communicate with your SMETS1 meter just as we would with a 2^nd generation Smart meter (SMETS2). Not all SMETS1 meters have been migrated yet by the DCC however we will contact you and let you know once your smart meter is live and communicating.
